Yogi was designed to engage more than just your sense of taste.
Yogi is a packaging concept focused on making yogurt more sustainable while creating a more memorable experience around the product. I designed a reusable spoon built directly into the lid, eliminating the need for a separate utensil. I also explored how texture could communicate flavor by incorporating fruit-inspired textures into both the packaging and spoon.
Sketches
I started by exploring different ways the packaging could become more functional and sustainable. My main goal was to create a container that could eliminate unnecessary waste while still feeling playful and enjoyable to use. These sketches helped me explore the shape, lid, spoon, and overall structure of the package.
Logo Sketches
With the packaging direction established, I began developing the Yogi logo. I explored different letterforms and visual ideas to create an identity that felt friendly, playful, and approachable while still fitting the overall packaging concept.
Logo Ideation
I experimented with different logo variations to explore how typography, shape, and personality could work together. I ultimately selected the direction that best represented the playful and natural qualities I wanted the Yogi brand to communicate.
Character Design
I wanted Yogi to feel more than just a yogurt container, so I developed a character to give the brand a recognizable personality. I explored several sketches before selecting a final character that felt playful, energetic, and connected to the overall identity.
3D Rendering
After developing the packaging, identity, and character, I translated the concept into a 3D environment. Rendering the package from different angles allowed me to explore how the textures, spoon, graphics, and character came together as a complete product.
To conclude the project, I created a promotional poster that brings together the Yogi identity, packaging, character, and typography. The poster demonstrates how the visual system could extend beyond the package into a larger marketing experience.
